We elevate Eagle County families in need by providing opportunities and resources

Who we are

MFP serves and supports Eagle County's underserved youth and families in a holistic way to help them meet their full potential.

Ours is a three-pillar approach: providing social-emotional support through mentoring and expertise via partner organizations, supplying academic support through tutoring and scholarships, and promoting physical health and wellness through sports and recreational activities.

Three Pillars

1) Social-Emotional

We designed our offerings to help families meet their social-emotional needs. Our youth centers provide favorable environments for programming and personal development. Mentoring, tutoring, and adult education services develop self-esteem, resiliency, and critical thinking. Our scholarships empower students and families to change the quality of their lives. Finally, enrichment activities promote self-knowledge and a sense of community. By building trust in the community, we hope to create collaborations for many years to come.

2) Academics

With a significant focus on high-school graduation, we believe academic success is one of the most excellent building blocks for future pathways. Our mentoring and tutoring programs promote academic excellence, and our scholarships give young people the means to pursue higher education or trade school, improving high-school retention and graduation rates. Constant interactions with current scholars, mentors, teachers, and past program graduates provide a healthy environment based on our community's realistic expectations and model representative.

3) Wellness

We focus on developing self-worth and promoting values. Students and families increase social capital and develop or refine critical life skills through various unique offerings. Young people learn about grit, determination, integrity, and other factors critical to wellness and overall quality of life. Activities and groups help foster teamwork and let family members learn boundaries in many different contexts. By improving future opportunities for all and improving the health of our families, we believe that we are setting our participants up for the greatest possible future returns.

Values

We believe in positive organizational culture, adaptability, creativity, grit, integrity, and empathy
